Implementation Details

LUMA handles Abaqus INP files using a custom parser implemented in Rust. The parser reads the *NODE sections to extract node coordinates and the element definitions for supported element types (C3D4, C3D10, C3D8, C3D6). Material properties are automatically generated based on the input data, and elements are grouped into sets according to their material properties. The parser ensures that all supported element types are correctly interpreted and represented in the internal data structures of LUMA.
